Ron Rivard

Owner / Inspector / Trainer

Ever since I was a young adult, I’ve loved working with my hands and had an eye for design – doing everything from building custom kitchen cabinets to redesigning and renovating homes. With my college degree in education and my background in renovation, construction and design, it was a logical segue for me into the field of home inspection. Over the years, inspecting homes and buildings, working with agents and their clients and teaching people about the homes they are purchasing or selling has been both interesting and gratifying. Training and building a team of expert inspectors, that includes veterans, has been my way to “pay it forward.” I’m so proud that Mary Ellen and I have created a family business that consistently provides a professional, friendly and reassuring home inspection experience to our customers and gives them the tools they need to make well-informed confident decisions.

I met Ron in 2002 on a house inspection. The rest, as they say, is history! My professional background includes careers in finance, advertising and interior design and previously served as the Director of Finance and Administration of a scientific animation company where I was instrumental in growing the business from $300K to $3M in annual sales. I’ve always had a “pioneer” attitude and have helped many fledgling companies with ideas become viable realities, so when my husband asked me to jump on board with Eagle, I said, “Why not?” I absolutely love being Ron’s wife and business partner and enjoy mentoring our staff as well as sponsoring young affiliate entrepreneurs. We both firmly believe in treating everyone we meet the way we like to be treated. Ron and I don’t just “talk the talk.” We “walk the walk” through leadership by example and advocating a level of service that is truly “above the rest”!

Armand Riccio

Inspector

This is the success story of a young man who wanted a career in home inspections. When Ron was ready to expand Eagle, we recognized that Armand had the right stuff. So, Ron took Armand under his wing. Armand completed an intensive training course and worked long hours in the field, side-by-side with Ron. Armand is now our lead licensed home inspector. He is highly requested due to his knowledge, professionalism and exceptional customer service skills. Armand’s friendly, respectful attitude continues to gain the admiration of clients and agents alike.

Elizabeth Rivard

Inspector

Our youngest daughter always cared for animals and was previously employed at a local emergency veterinary clinic. She discovered that she was gifted at keeping sick and injured animals calm while administering urgent care. When circumstances necessitated a change in career paths, Elizabeth found herself at a crossroads. By then, her partner, Armand, had already been a home inspector with her dad’s firm for several years and that lit a spark. She wondered, was this something she could do, too? The prospect was new, exciting and challenging, so she made a bold decision and took a leap of faith. Under Ron’s guidance and training, Elizabeth is now working for Eagle full-time, distinguishing herself as an intelligent and intuitive inspector and one of the very few women home inspectors in the state of CT.

Marley Kelly

Call Center

After serving for eight years as an Army medic, our daughter, Marley (Rivard) Kelly, first came to Eagle as a home inspection intern and then rigorously trained to become an integral member of our inspection team. Recently married, Marley left her inspection career to follow her active-duty husband; however, she wanted to stay involved with the family business and now runs the Eagle call center. Marley is the "voice" of Eagle Home Inspections - answering questions, resolving concerns and scheduling inspections. With her "boots on the ground" home inspection expertise, Marley sets the bar for what to expect from an Eagle Home Inspection experience by providing first-hand knowledge of the inspection process as well as top-notch people skills and a positive can-do attitude.
